My Lahore Adventure - A January 2025 Travel Story

In January 2025, I landed in Lahore, Pakistan’s vibrant heart, for a quick two-day trip.

Day 1: Walled City and Culinary Bliss

After checking into the cozy Luxus Grand Hotel in Gulberg, I headed to the Walled City. The Lahore Fort’s Sheesh Mahal dazzled with its mirrored walls, and the Badshahi Mosque’s grandeur took my breath away.

A street vendor’s Kashmiri tea warmed me against the January chill. Dinner at Cooco’s Den in Heera Mandi was a highlight—spicy chicken karahi with fresh naan, served with a stunning mosque view, made it unforgettable.web:your_previous_article

Day 2: Markets, Lohri, and Farewell

Day two started with a Lahori breakfast of halwa puri in Gawalmandi Food Street, fueling me for Anarkali Bazaar’s colorful chaos. I haggled for shawls and sipped tea with a friendly shopkeeper during Lohri festivities, a January 13 tradition.

The evening brought a bonfire, Punjabi songs, and sweet rewri shared with locals. Lunch at Yum Chinese & Thai in Gulberg offered a tasty Chicken Manchurian, and my final meal at Salt’n Pepper’s Ultimate Burger wrapped up the trip with a modern twist.web:your_previous_article

My January 2025 Lahore trip was a whirlwind of flavors, history, and warmth. From Cooco’s Den’s karahi to Lohri’s festive glow, the city stole my heart.
